PERFORMANCE AUGMENTATION NETWORKS (PAN)
FOR RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS

OPTIMUM’s Performance Augmentation Network,
PAN,
(patents-pending) does what was previously thought to be impossible.
PANs attenuate reciprocating compressor pulsation to acceptable
levels WITHOUT PRESSURE LOSS.
q
Eliminates all bottles, baffles, choke tubes and orifice plates
q
Dramatically enhances the efficiency and flow capacity of compressor
stations

DoEOPTIMIZER
PRO
is the first optimization Excel Plug-in that interfaces with the ANSYS Workbench WBExcel system.
Design
Optimizing Expert System
(DOES)
is
a full stand-alone multi-physics, multi-vendor optimization
paradigm.
Whether
working in native Excel or working with ANSYS CFD models, DoEOPTIMIZER
and DOES harness patented optimization algorithms
to provide rigorous and robust Design of Experiments optimization. Users unfamiliar with DoE concepts
can use DoEOPTIMIZER with ease due to its intuitive user interface. See our
Resource Room
for an example of how you can set up your experiment and optimize your results - all within the Excel
environment.

Automated Design
is the world's first Expert System for engine simulation and design. This revolutionary
software product promises to solve engine design problems several orders of magnitude faster than is
currently possible, whilst substantially improving the return on investment of simulation software. The
Expert System captures engineering expertise within the virtual environment, allowing the knowledge and
expertise gained from each engine design problem to be reapplied. The result is a greatly accelerated
and repeatable design process. The Automated Design Expert System has the ability to rigorously assess
the design space and select the engine design solutions that best satisfy the engineering objective using
advanced Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques. This is supported by powerful parallel-processing
capabilities that allow the simulation workload to be distributed across a large number of Windows PCs on
any local area network.

Virtual Engines is the new "benchmark" engine performance simulation design system. After many years of
research, development and rigorous validation by Queen's University Belfast and OPTIMUM, the company
introduced
Virtual 2-Stroke®
and
Virtual 4-Stroke®.
Virtual Engines employs far more accurate unsteady
gas dynamic and thermodynamic flow models and boundary conditions to produce superior simulation accuracy
the first time, with little or no model calibration. The products incorporate intuitive, easy-to-use
graphical interfaces and powerful analysis capabilities into a single design system suitable for modeling
all spark-ignition and compression-ignition engines whether they are naturally aspirated, turbocharger or
supercharger. The Virtual Engines Automated Design Optimizer (patent pending) running on the OPTIMUM
Network Supercomputer will deliver better designs in a fraction of the time of other systems.

ICEView/PTrAn provides a powerful electronic system for data acquisition and analysis in one economical
package. ICEView takes advantage of low cost PC hardware and advanced electronics to produce a unique
high-speed data acquisition system capable of sampling up to 1.25 MHz in either time-based or angle-based
mode. The system provides automotive engineers with significant savings in both cost and time over other available systems due to its ease of use and utilization of National Instruments hardware.
PTrAn
available as
part of the ICEView/PTrAn system, or as an individual software package, is the world's first high-quality,
yet economical, combustion analysis software. In a user-friendly environment it combines
industry-standard computations with exceptional graphical capabilities, allowing engineers to use our
technology to the OPTIMUM, reducing test, analysis and development costs.
