Bridgeville, Pennsylvania February 15, 2005 - Dale Jarrett and his UPS Ford (88) capture the pole for the Daytona 500. Jarrett delivered the fastest lap of the day at 188.312 mph. Jimmie Johnson in the Lowes Chevrolet (48) locked in the 2nd pole with a lap of 188.17 mph. Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, and Joe Nemechek completed the top 5.
